One of NYC's best player turned coach combos ever!. Today Ray is assistant coach at South Carolina State. Ray was a great player and All-American at St. Johns Prep (Queens) and later became captain of a stellar Notre Dame squad. He later went on to becoming a D1 head coach at LIU and assistant to Jim Valvano's championship team at NC State. Ray has coached in tp programs such as Miami (OH) and Tennessee, and worked with NBA players including Wally Szczerbiak, Allan Houston, and others.
